D.I.Y McDonald's Mini Slime!

Hey Guys!

I had some gold and red glitter glue around the house and decided to make some McDonalds inspired mini slime! #notsponsored =)
Materials needed
Let's get started!

What you will need:

* Glitter Glue Pens - Gold and Red
* A container to make your slime in
(you can use separate containers but I used the same one)
*Toothpick
(to stir with)
*Activator
(I eyeballed a LIGHT activator)
*Gold glitter - optional

Step #1
Directions:

Step #1: Pour your glue into a bowl or container. You want to make sure the ratio of gold to red is correct because the gold will be the  and the red will be the background. You can add in your glitter now, but I added mine after the slime was made.

Step #2
Step # 2: Start adding in your activator SLOWLY. Stir well until there are no strings. If you need to, start kneading with your hands, making sure to combine the activator and glue. You may need to add more activator to pull the slime together.

Step #3
Step #3: Your slime is ready! Repeat the same process for the red slime. Then assemble. The sounds were very quiet as a result of it being a mini slime. Hence, I did not include a video clip.

 I hope you guys enjoyed!

Moving- Through the Eyes of a Ten Year Old

Hi Guys! I thought about it and I want to take this blog back to its roots: my thoughts. I will post D.I.Ys once in a while, but I want this to be my main thing. The first thing I wanted to talk about is moving. Why? I move quite a bit and trust me, I still haven't gotten used to it.

Moving isn't always being excited to go to a new place and explore. I remember my first move,(unless you count moving next door and missing your "corner') which was moving from the U.S to India. I was 6 and the move affected me so much. I used to be super upset most days before the move and thinking about leaving all of my friends. After the move, my friends from the U.S and I stayed in touch for a while but lost it because we just didn't put any effort into it. Don't worry, I learnt from my mistakes.

The next move I went through was back from India to the U.S. India was where I made my first real best friends. I had a gang back in second grade and guess who was their leader. That's right ladies and gentlemen, the insightful blogger was a gang leader of monstrous 7-year olds. I had never had so much fun in my life! I loved India and without even knowing it, I was in 5th grade. Unfortunately, I had to move back to the U.S and was heartbroken. Our family friends had moved all the way from Ohio and I couldn't even spend a whole year with them. I was missing the chance to be student council president and take part in multiple interschool competitions. But, in the end, I knew I was the saddest about, again leaving my friends. I refused to lose touch with my friends. I worked hard and remembered to email them. It's been a year and I am still in touch with them and Facetime every week (otherwise they slap me through the phone :)).

Finally, I also moved recently from state to state and the scariest thing awaiting me is middle school. I know nobody and all my dreams of going to middle school with my group of friends, arm in arm have vanished. I would have been on the school news crew and given another chance to participate in a student representative election, and once again, it didn't matter. (Don't worry, I'm in touch with my friends from Pennsylvania and India) I'm scared, but I know that this is going to be a great year filled with success and fun. I'm going to make it one.

And, even though it sounds like a lot, I learnt so much from those experiences. I ended up being friends with people I never expected to find common interests with and had an impossible amount of fun over the years. In the end, it's okay if you feel upset when you're leaving everything behind, but you have to move on and think about the great things that are awaiting you.
